TH-U is a software suite for guitarists and bass players who like to do everything in the DAW. The previous version was TH-3 version, and the new TH-U brings more of everything: 15 new amps (94 in total), 14 new speakers (52 in total), 2 new effects (77 in total), a redesigned Cabinet IR module and a search function for presets.
Panning is one of our most powerful tools as mixing engineers, but due to the fact that we have to create our mixes for multiple environments (headphones, speakers, etc) we are bound by how we can pan our instruments while still sounding natural on all of these playback systems. Have you ever noticed that panning an instrument to one side sounds fine on loudspeakers but hurts your brain on headphones? This is because in real life, no sound goes into just one ear unless it’s coming from your ear (like headphones). Mongoose fixes this problem by summing low frequencies to mono so that no matter how far you pan your instruments, they will sound equally natural on both headphones and speakers.
The v2 update is focused mainly on modulation in our hosts with a bunch of new modulators available, along with other functionality and workflow updates which will open up new worlds of creativity. One particularly fabulous aspect of this update is that Snap Heap and Multipass now have the same modular modulation system as Phase Plant, which allows you to combine and connect as many modulators as you need. This unleashes limitless new creative possibilities for creating dynamic, evolving, responsive, or chaotic modular effects within these already super-useful Snapin Hosts.
One of the most important parts of getting a good mix is your ability to mix before ear fatigue sets in. This is why sometimes plugins that give you control over every little detail often lead to worse mixes. This is where T-Bone comes in. T-Bone is designed to be fast. Get in and get out. It gives you quick access to all the necessary tone adjustment tools that 95% of your tracks need. Adjust the brightness, focus, air and beef with simple and fast controls. And when you are done, you can check your sanity with the “intensity” control, which lets you dial back everything (or dig in harder) if you’ve overdone it.
