Organ Obscura is our fresh, retro-modern twist on the quirky tones of a late 1960s Baldwin organ. Inspired by the iconic soundscapes of Bernard Herrmann, we’ve taken that familiar, nostalgic warmth and pushed it into unexpected, vibrant territory. You’ll discover authentic patches that channel vintage charm alongside wonderfully cheesy, avant-garde sounds reimagined for today’s music production. Dive into a sonic world that blends retro cheese with modern cool. With textured drones, evolving phrases, atmospheric pads, and richly sampled tones, Organ Obscura takes you on a journey through time and space—transforming the classic organ into a powerhouse of otherworldly sounds. This isn’t your grandmother’s organ… or maybe it is, with a twist.
The Echorec is a software emulation of the iconic echo/delay unit of the same name produced by the Italian brand Binson in the 1960s. The sound of this magnetic disk delay differs from the tape delays used at the time, and has largely contributed to the audio signature of many 70s bands: Pink Floyd, The Shadows, Jimmy Page etc. Vintage Echorec devices are known for their saturation, self-oscillation, and oversound, all shaping the music produced in the 70s. They are also, however, known to be fragile and difficult to maintain.
